The Medway and Swale Stage Festivals are held in the south-east of England in the county of Kent. Judged by a specialist adjudicator, the festivals have been running for over twenty four years, during which time they have worked to advance the performance, appreciation and practise of the Art of Dance.  The Festivals provide an arena for young people to receive advice and encouragement from professionals within the dance field.

The Medway festival takes place during April & May each year at the Brook Theatre in Chatham.

The Swale festival is in September at a performing arts centre within a school .

Both festivals offer a range of classes including ballet, tap, modern, character, national and song & dance.

Entries can be in the form of solos, duets, trios, groups and troupes. As well as certificates and medals, there are over 60 cups and trophies to be won.

The festivals are open to amateur performers over the age of 3 and welcomes entries from a diverse range of backgrounds and abilities.

The Medway festival syllabus is published in January and the Swale syllabus is published in July each year. They are sent to all participating schools and private entrants on the mailing list.
